CRUX Gear Spray
Nature-powered enzymes penetrate deep into gear fibers where other sprays can't reach. Our formula uses Saccharomyces ferment filtrate and botanical actives to break down odor compounds β not cover them up.
Each scent inspired by a real place in the American West:
ποΈ Joshua Tree's Desert Virga β Juniper CitrusΒ
π Big Sur's Pacific Drift β Eucalyptus MintΒ
ποΈ Sedona's Canyon Dusk β Lavender SageΒ

A scent atlas of rare natural phenomena
Joshua Tree
Virga
California Juniper Β· Citrus Β· Dry Lightning
Clouds gather over the Mojave. Rain begins thousands of feet up and evaporates before it reaches the ground. Lightning strikes the desert floor anyway, dry and close. The air goes electric. Stone cools for water that never arrives.
Big Sur
Pacific Drift
Eucalyptus Β· Mint Β· Sea Salt
Fog moves inland off the Pacific and folds through eucalyptus and cypress. Salt hangs in the air. The horizon goes with a sea breeze that hits the road and the Eucalyptus trees closest to you.
Sedona
Canyon Dusk
Lavender Β· Sage Β· Warm Stone
The rock holds the day's heat long after the light leaves it. Sage moves through cooling air. Shadows climb the canyon walls until the red turns violet and then goes dark.
Yosemite
Firefall
Smoke Β· Vanilla Β· Ponderosa
For a few evenings each February, the setting sun catches Horsetail Fall and the water turns to fire against the granite. Ponderosa bark warms in the sun and smells of vanilla.
Built for gear that turns.

How a Place Becomes a Scent
It began in Joshua Tree
Life Cocoon began with a California juniper growing in the Mojave - a quiet, aromatic tree shaped by wind, heat and almost no water. A sprig from that tree became our mark.
Above it, the desert performs a strange disappearing act called a Desert Virga. Rain forms thousands of feet overhead, then evaporates before touching the earth. Dry lightning crosses the empty landscape. The air sharpens with juniper and creosote. You can feel the storm, even though it never arrives.
I wanted to preserve that impossible moment in scent. Most attempts disappear. The rare ones that remain become fragrance.
That became the way I approach every Life Cocoon fragrance: find the plant that holds the character of a place, find the phenomenon that makes it unforgettable, then work until the two become a special atmosphere.
Before Life Cocoon, I spent a decade in biotechnology learning to investigate what cannot be seen. Fragrance became another way of doing it.
